Sugar, Spice Makes Everything Nice

For the past few post i have been posting just for the sake of updating the blog. Short to say, it was BOOOORING for both myself and readers of the blog. According to the my brand new Big Book Bout Bloggers Rule #12: Never bore your blog readers. Besides that, Rule #3 says "Dont ever admit your blog is boring, if if it is, act as though you dont know XD".

So, i have decided to spice things up with a few pictures. You see, i have noticed pictures are like sugar and spice to blogs, they might not be everything, but they add flavour and enhance the main topic of the dish, or blog if your not hungry. So lets try this picture thing out okay?

#1: Sugar

Talking about sugar, i went to eat ice cream recently at Baskin Robbins. I dont go there usually but somehow my family decided to go there on the 29th???
  • Why for the-sake-of-good-cheap-ice-cream would i go there on the 29th when there is a 31% dicount just 2 days away???
  • Why spend that 31% more just 1/3rd of a week earlier on the 29th???
  • Well the answer would be that it was my sister's b'day.
  • (And we just had a craving for ice cream....yummm)

Yeah so, we got some ice cream and started eating. Who cares, about the 31% discount?! We will just come back on the 31st to buy MORE ice cream.

^Before^

^After^

Yeah , okay we ate ice cream at Baskin Robbins. We consumed alot of frozen sugar and milk, but it was all in a days fun. And since we where on the topic of Sugar, and it so happens to be Chinese New Year, it is time time of cookies, condiments, calories, cholesterol and all matter of confectionary wonders.

Which brings me to my next topic:

#2 Spice

Behold! My Gingerbread Army!:

Yes, i you were thinking i was very rich to randomly buy Baskin Robbin's ice cream and was scheming to rob me think again! If you were even thinking of stalking me or my sister when we were eating ice cream, watch out! This is the made-in-Malaysia gingerbread army!fine i didnt make them, i just helped stirr the dough Fear me Gingerbread Army!
  • They dont sleep, dont rest, and dont even need to eat! In fact, they're eaten!
  • They are prepare for WORLD DOMINATION! One icing frosted arm at a time.
  • They are not afraid of heat and cold, and can withstand the baking heat of a home oven!
  • They are born through a though training routine invovling stirring, beating, cutting, and intense physical mixing of flour!
  • They dont require pay and dont complain, even when theyre heads are bitten off!
  • They come in all shapes and sizes!Rawr!
And leading them would be this dude, grabbed from another friends blog and force into service :

Beware!

Unfortunately my gingerbreadarmy has been decommissioned due to lack of budget, economic recession, a hungry stomach, a big appetite and one too many tea-breaks.

So until, i find another way to world domination or more random things to post about, this is one of Jian's Musings signing out.

Last Gathering...For A while

So met Li Ann for the last time, at least for what would be an expected 2 years.

For some strange reason, we decided to watch the movie "They Wait". We being all the people who went to Li Ann's Farewell Gathering(as it will be named here). And the "They" is ...ermm....hmm... shouldnt talk about that. Go watch the movie yourself if want to know. So the day started with me, Andrew, Lesley, and LiAnn, who went and bought the tickets first. While waiting... we went to the A&W where LiAnn said she wanted to eat A&W before she went back to the Land Where Apparently A&W Does Not Exist. It turns out Suba, JenNee, and Sam where waiting at Starbucks. After waiting awhile more came, Amirah, Yih Foo,Ling Ben and Jade.

Okay, enough of waiting, now to the movie. Honestly, im not a great fan of horror movies, and this one is quite scary according to my standards. And theres alot of poking at chinese people in this movie which features stereotype Chinese Accent, Chinese Dragons, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Chinese Words, Chinese Men with Tattoos. The cinema hall was kinda empty beside us. We were like nearly taking up the entire row, and there were a few people sitting above us. Poor folks, had to put up to our laughing, screaming and talking. There was a few scenes where we laughed out of a sudden when it was supposed to be scary. Guess we spoiled some of the suspense scenes.

After the horrow movie we went to Manhattan Fish Market, ate lunch, took pictures, and usual lunch stuff. This of course includes paying the bills, where SOME PEOPLE conviniently went to the toilet at the right time.

Following that, the Girls wanted to go do their ladies-shopping thingy and the Guys just stood there and thought "What the... What are we supposed to do while they go shopping?". After some random wandering we ended up in the arcade where we killed time and some video game characters by paying cash.

Yeah, nothing to do, until we exited the arcade, walked around until we found LiAnn and gang then went to Pancake House, under Jade's recommendation. Lesley and Sam didnt want to go cause they still want to go shop(Is this the part I call them shopaholics?). Apparently the people in Pancake House are family friends of Jade. I was kinda of sorry we probably ruined Jade's reputation as we loudly , boisterously, and excitedly entered the restaurant. Her image dropped further as we discussed what to eat. We decided to try Halo-Halo. For those geeks, this ain't a video game, nor is it a floating beam of ring shaped light. Its like a Ice-kacang, but a Philipino version. Then the sugar got to our head, and we tried crazy things such as pouring maple syrup into the already sweet, Halo-Halo. Suba had the honour of adding a diabetes-inducing dose of syrup into my spoon of sweeted iced water. I guess a spoonful of sugar helps the extra sugar go down.

That's about how my day ends. I just followed them to the bowling alley, bid farewell to LiAnn, and walked off into the Sunset...or Sunway.

Mid-January Musings

Okay, so i havent updated my blog for awhile. And i have no idea how to continue my blog. Should i continue with the past stuff, then follow the timely order? Or should i just skip the things i did not blog about? Haiz.. blogging is so ..errm.. inconclusive. Or was it indecisive? Perhaps it is possible that i might not be able to make up my mind. Probably its just maybe i cant decide?

Okay lets start with the start of the year! It seemed like a long time ago now. Since then i got 3-4 new workbooks to do, borrowed a whole cabinet of school books and done about 648 pages of homework. Sigh. But back to the beginning of the year, i went to Sunway Lagoon with Lesley, LiAnn, JenNee, Andrew, Eric. Let me tell you this: IT WAS DAMN FUN!

Yeah, it was uber-super-duper-rollercoaster-spinning cool! We went to the Wet park, and the Thrill rides!. Unfortunately Andrew and Eric didnt bring their extra clothes. However, with all their decency and kindness they where OK with us going to the wet rides and wet parks without them. (Recently i learned Andrew did not bring extra clothes because he thought Sunway Lagoon was Sunway Pyramid. [=.=] )

I would actually go into long and exciting disscussion about how i got real sick on the 360-degree rides and how Andrew got wet anyway. I would also love to write a long descriptive essay with a poem at the end about the adrenaline-pumping-water-slides. If you gave me the chance, I would compose an ode about the exciting circular accelerating motion of the cow boot ride. Unfortunately this post is rather late, and I'm sure if you look around in other peoples blogs, there is a whole chronicle of what we did at Sunway Lagoon. All I can say was I had more fun and excitement than I can fully describe in a sensible sentence.

But after Sunway Lagoon, reality set in :( , school was starting again. Sure enough, i had load of stress, tonnes of work, stress, tuition, tuition work, co-curriculum activies, stress, house practices, library duty, stress, and not to forget, stress. Oh, did i mention i had more stress then there are times I was trying to stress the fact that i was under stress in this paragraph. I am stressing the usage of this word abit too far am I? Feeling stressed?

I need a break dont I?

And for those who are keeping track:

THE PROS AND CONS SCOREBOARD OF 2009

Happy New Year: 2009

Haha, its 2009. So what's the big fuss about 2009? After all, its just 2008 + 1 isnt it?So what if the Earth went around the Sun another time?Is it just another reason to stop by in the middle of the highway just to watch the fireworks from Sunway? Just another ocassion where bored blogger's get to write about.... AND just a random conincidental date where i decide to debate:

THE PROS AND CONS SCOREBOARD OF 2009

I was just doing my usual stuff when i saw the pile of textbooks in front of me and realised "I have to go back to school!Studies starting again!". "But," i thought to myself,"school is not bad , just some homework and its not like i have never done homework before". That MAY be true, but homework is still hard and i am forgetting an important part of school, the exams. Furthermore, this year there is the dreaded SPM.On the bright side im gonna meet all my schoolmates in school again! So lets make that a 1-1 draw for 2009. For now...

WEll actually, i cant just say 2009 is is ALL about school. There's bound to be more fun stuff this year! What they are? I just cant predict. If i could, i would win the lottery would't I? Then i would be so rich i'll just hire a consultant to consult me about 2009 instead of wondering about it right now. So the score stands at 1-1 for 2009, i would just have to accept it. Until i win the lottery that is. :) *crosses fingers*
