Last Gathering...For A while

So met Li Ann for the last time, at least for what would be an expected 2 years.

For some strange reason, we decided to watch the movie "They Wait". We being all the people who went to Li Ann's Farewell Gathering(as it will be named here). And the "They" is ...ermm....hmm... shouldnt talk about that. Go watch the movie yourself if want to know. So the day started with me, Andrew, Lesley, and LiAnn, who went and bought the tickets first. While waiting... we went to the A&W where LiAnn said she wanted to eat A&W before she went back to the Land Where Apparently A&W Does Not Exist. It turns out Suba, JenNee, and Sam where waiting at Starbucks. After waiting awhile more came, Amirah, Yih Foo,Ling Ben and Jade.

Okay, enough of waiting, now to the movie. Honestly, im not a great fan of horror movies, and this one is quite scary according to my standards. And theres alot of poking at chinese people in this movie which features stereotype Chinese Accent, Chinese Dragons, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Chinese Words, Chinese Men with Tattoos. The cinema hall was kinda empty beside us. We were like nearly taking up the entire row, and there were a few people sitting above us. Poor folks, had to put up to our laughing, screaming and talking. There was a few scenes where we laughed out of a sudden when it was supposed to be scary. Guess we spoiled some of the suspense scenes.

After the horrow movie we went to Manhattan Fish Market, ate lunch, took pictures, and usual lunch stuff. This of course includes paying the bills, where SOME PEOPLE conviniently went to the toilet at the right time.

Following that, the Girls wanted to go do their ladies-shopping thingy and the Guys just stood there and thought "What the... What are we supposed to do while they go shopping?". After some random wandering we ended up in the arcade where we killed time and some video game characters by paying cash.

Yeah, nothing to do, until we exited the arcade, walked around until we found LiAnn and gang then went to Pancake House, under Jade's recommendation. Lesley and Sam didnt want to go cause they still want to go shop(Is this the part I call them shopaholics?). Apparently the people in Pancake House are family friends of Jade. I was kinda of sorry we probably ruined Jade's reputation as we loudly , boisterously, and excitedly entered the restaurant. Her image dropped further as we discussed what to eat. We decided to try Halo-Halo. For those geeks, this ain't a video game, nor is it a floating beam of ring shaped light. Its like a Ice-kacang, but a Philipino version. Then the sugar got to our head, and we tried crazy things such as pouring maple syrup into the already sweet, Halo-Halo. Suba had the honour of adding a diabetes-inducing dose of syrup into my spoon of sweeted iced water. I guess a spoonful of sugar helps the extra sugar go down.

That's about how my day ends. I just followed them to the bowling alley, bid farewell to LiAnn, and walked off into the Sunset...or Sunway.
